Ayurveda is a medical system that originated 3000 years ago. It is a natural medical practice developed in India. These days, ayurvedic medicinal practice is widely accepted and practised all over the world. The term Ayurveda had derived from the language Sanskrit. The term "ayuh" means "life" and “Veda” means “science”. Ayurvedic medicine mixes goods, including those mostly made from plants and animals, metals, and minerals, with dietary restrictions, physical activity, and way of life.
There are three doshas or Ayurveda Body Types. These are considered to be the biological energy present in all parts of the body and brain. The source of these doshas is the five elements of nature and their corresponding qualities. According to it, the three ayurvedic body types or doshas, are Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Vata is made up of air and space, Pitta is made up of fire and water, and Kapha is made up of earth and water. The balance of these doshas keeps one's body fit and healthy.
Vata Body Type
A Vata-type body has a space-and-air-dominant constitution. A Vata personality will typically be very thin, talkative, and restless. They mostly have thin hair, a small body frame, slightly sunken eyes, dry skin, brittle nails, and dry skin. Their joints could creak while they walk. They often like warm or hot temperatures and may find it difficult to tolerate the cold. Due to their difficulty gaining weight, they frequently have low body weights and are thin.
Pitta Body Type
Pitta has a fire and water combination in which fire is the domain in their body. It is why their body is typically warm to the touch. A pitta person will be energetic, attractive, perfectionist, dynamic, and intellectual. They easily get irritated. Their eyes will also be sharp. They usually possess leadership qualities. Pitta body type people have a moderate build body, with a smart attitude. Hair loss and early greying are typical among these people, and they easily get unbalanced. Their lips are rosy, and their pink nails have a slight curve.
Kapha Body Type
Kapha's body type is ruled by water and earth elements. Kapha people are generally cool in nature. They are characterised as calm, lazy, and stocky. According to Ayurveda, Kapha is the healthiest constitution. Kapha people are the least disturbed and are happy most of the time. They have wide shoulders and hips, with good wavy hair. Kapha people usually possess good stamina. They exhibit a pleasing appearance.
